Meeting in Romania

MINUTE

 

      Written for the Project meeting at Onesti, Romania, which took place between 31 November - 4 October 2008, with the participation of the partners involved in the “INNOVATING EUROPE SCHOOL” Comenius partnership. 
      The participants at the project meeting are:

      According to the project program, on the 1st of November 2008 the mobilities have been re-discussed and the following was established: 
 
1. The following project meetings will be in:
      • 12-16 February 2009 - Bulgaria
      • 12-16 June 2009 – Spain
      • 19-23 November 2009 – Portugal
      • 6-10 May 2010 – Poland
      • June 2010 - Turkey

2. The partners responsible for each activity have also been established: 
      • Romania   - the anthem project,
                       - the administration of virtual museum
      • Bulgaria  - ecumenical calendar;
                     - responsible for greeting cards
      • Spain      - evaluation first year;
                     - the blog administration
      • Portugal  - “TOUR OF TOLERANCE”, 
                     - Collection of proverbs and sayings
      • Poland    - European park; 
                     - “The Ideal European”.
      • Turkey   - the inter-cultural part;
                     - final evaluation.

3. The deadlines for each activity have been established.

4. It has been established that evaluations will be realised at every two months and each partner will make a report about the activities and products achieved to the coordinator and its own evaluator. The evaluation will be achieved through questionnaires and interviews in each school.  

5. On the workflow and evaluation. The partners agreed to “monitor” each other, using the “critical Friend” model, wherein, one partner is tasked to remind another partner of the tasks and deliverables; and likewise give constructive feedback on the work delivered by the partner. The “Critical Friend” circle is as follows:

        BG will monitor PT
        PT will monitor PL
        PL will monitor TU
       TU will monitor RO
    All the partners involved in the project have agreed upon the modifications.

6. All the partners have worked together on the anthem of the project. The teachers of music Laurentiu Caitar- Romania and Barbara Czajkowska- Poland have decided and adapted the music, and Maria Jose Monllor - Spain, Dina Douardo - Portugal, Ma?gorzata Paliga - Poland, Silviya Petrova - Bulgaria and Dirayet Dulug - Turkey have composed the lyrics of the anthem in English. By the end of the session, Laurentiu Caitar, teacher of music realised a first presentation of the anthem with the high school chorus, which was filmed and recorded on a CD and offered to all the partners. Each partner will have to adapt their own version in their own language. The versions of the anthem will be posted on the virtual museum of the project.
7. The day concluded with an informal trip to Slanic - Moldova, a tourist resort and a Salt Mine with an orthodox church in, located very close to Onesti.  

     On the 2nd of November 2008 THE INTERCULTURAL SEMINAR took place and it was organized at Brasov, which is known as the centre of the Romanian inter-culturality.
     The project partners have experienced Romanian, German and Hungarian traditions and culture in a visit to Brasov. They have visited the Black Church, the Ethnography Museum, the historical centre, and the Bran Castle.
During the “Romanian traditional evening”, the partners from Spain, Bulgaria, Portugal, Poland and Turkey saw Romanian traditions, and they all presented something about their traditions. Everyone took part and friendships developed.

     On the 3rd of November 2008 the following have been discussed:

1. The structure of the project site has been established:
   • There have been discussions and according to these, the structure of the website has been created.
   • At the Romanians’ proposal, the forum has been replaced with a blog, because of its easier way to administrate.
   • It was decided that the project site will be realised and administrated by the team in Romania and the blog by the Spanish team.
   • All the partners involved in the project have approved the final decisions.
   • The following have been established as the deadlines:

   • Buy domain (Romania) – 30 Nov. 2008
   • Agreement upon the format (All partners)
   • Finalize website  – 22 Dec. 2008
           Virtual Museum Design:
   • Develop design proposals to create the VIRTUAL MUSEUM (Romania) P– 30 January 2009
   • Send proposals to partners and partners’ comments – 28 February 2009
   • Finalize website – 30 June 2010
1. Partners decided that each European Park should be realize according to their own design and botanic.
2. There have been open discussions about the importance and efficiency of this project.
4. Emily Groene observed an English class of Elizabeth Ogden with XII C.
5. Partners agreed on the meeting in Bulgaria, in February 2009.
6. The certificates of participation at the project meeting have been awarded.
7. Satisfaction questionnaires have been filled in and conclusions have been drawn.
