Almada

      Almada is a city of Arabian origin (Al-maden; the mine), located Tagus River estuary, facing Lisbon. The municipality is composed of 11 parishes “Freguesias” , with a total area of  70 km2,  and a resident population of around 160.000 inhabitants.
      Almada became a fast-growing city.
      The beautiful Bridge 25 de Abril links Lisbon and Almada , located on opposite sides of the major river in the Iberian Peninsula.
